Stressful Times Don’t Have To Be Stressful

In Self Help on April 24, 2012 at 11:49 pm

You are living, that is what truly matters.

The fact that you are livning and breathing is more important than anything else. You should never stress yourself out about work or your life. You should always live in the moment and live each day like it is your last. Never become negative about your life or where you are, even if your life is rather challenging or confusing. Always remember that, because you are living, you are okay and that definitely means, you can continue living and keep moving forward.

Your situation is temporary, not permanent.

Never feel your situation is permanent or never ending. You can control your life, and you make it what you want. You have the ability to do whatever you like, or whatever you desire to do or achieve. It is up to you to work for it, and depending on how much you want it, you will not sleep till you taste, feel, and breath success.

Stress can kill you. Believe me.

If you stress yourself out about your dissatisfaction of your life, or your inability to accomplish something, you will not succeed, move forward or sustain a healthy lifestyle.  When you stress out, you focus on one thing, and forget the other priorities in your life. You lose the most important things in your life, and that can leave you blind (figuratively speaking). If you feel constantly stressed, you can lose your ability to function as a human.

Not saying be lazy.

I am not saying casually  allow life to take control of you. Take control of your life and work very hard. Hope for the best, prepare for the worse. Don’t work stressfully hard, but strategically smart and you will forever be successful. The hard work will naturally come after that. Get what you need to get done finished, but if you cannot do it at the pace you think is acceptable, just accept that your body says no. By stopping, you are realising that your health is more important than your desired objective. Continue when you feel like you can give your objective, your full attention.

Have fun.

Whatever you do, try and stay positive. Try and find something interesting about what you are doing, however small the interest is, and use that as your driving force to get something done. If you are able to do that with everything, you will forever survive and conquer any challenge.

Chill out.

Always find time to chill out. Even if you are really busy in your life and what you are doing requires persistency and dedication, still relax. If you don’t, you will go into overdrive. And yes, that can have an effect on your health. Love yourself, so that simply means take care of your body.

LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST, BUT WORK STRATEGICALLY SMART, AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CONQUER ANYTHING.

The Unpredictable Life

In Uncategorized on April 22, 2012 at 10:30 pm

NB. The people are made up

You know how people say life is unpredictable.

You make plans to do things and prepare the best you can, but it seems like nature doesn’t want to work with you, or see you through it. Nature comes along with its magic wand, lightsaber, or boxing gloves, and knocks you out, or simply releases you of energy, or control of your situation.

On many occasions, I wonder if life is unpredictable. I wonder if my life should be lived a certain way. I wonder if every little thing I do, will have a big effect on the outcome of my life. If I miss a bus, and catch the next one, will my whole life be changed forever? Or will the people I interact with or the simple things I change have a big effect on the outcome of my life or their life. I always question this ‘lifestyle’ or ‘human performance’ or this ‘living synchronicity’ that seems to exist among me and all the other humans that exist on this planet, called Earth. Who controls the outcome in our life? Is it us, or do other humans interfere with what is supposed to happen in our life. Again, it is a question to ask if life is supposed to be planned or forever unpredictable.

The Business Man:

Tom has starting capital of £1 million (savings) and has a unique business idea that is likely to be successful. He could be consulted by key business magnets in the industry about the viability of his business. He could make an exceptional business plan, and do his business risk assessments, known as a SWOT analysis, and could open up a fashion store in two years’ time. So Tom successfully started his business and the business made £2 million in revenue. It is forever growing.

The Traveller:

Lindsey is going from London, to New York. She has a flight at 08:00pm in the morning at London Heathrow, Terminal 5. She packs her bags two days before. Goes shopping the next day and buys all the essential goods needed for her trip. She gets to the airport, forgets her passport at home, and her flight leaves in one hour and a half. She has her phone but it is on red battery life, because she forgot to charge it overnight. Lindsey attempts to call home. Sadly, she can’t get in touch with anyone at home, after using her phone which dies and the customer service desk telephone. Lindsey has to go home, and she cannot replace her flight unless she pays a cancellation and reschedule fee of £200, which she doesn’t have because the purpose of her trip is to visit family. She only has $50 for a four day trip.

The Writer:

Ray, a really talented writer, completes a thriller novel, which has taken him six months of his life. He has suffered criticism from lots of people, who believe he won’t make it as a writer, and his work isn’t worthy, but Ray keeps going on and that has led him to the point where he is able to get his novel published by the Harper Collins. On the day of sending his manuscript, his laptop crashes and all of his valuable data is lost. His flash drive is connected to the laptop and his back up file containing his manuscript is deleted. He didn’t save it anywhere else except his flash drive and laptop. This was his living purpose since January.

The questions that make me wonder. Was the entrepreneur supposed to be successful? He planned really well. He forecasted his business plans and prepared effectively for the worse to come. He still had his home as an asset (worth £3 million), but didn’t have a job, because he quit his job to give his business venture, his full attention. If he failed, he wouldn’t be doing anything, and he would be valued at £3 million rather than £4 million, after spending £1 million on developing on his business idea. He was successful, and the worse didn’t occur. Lindsey didn’t make her flight, didn’t get to go on holiday, and lost all the money she has put into her trip (£400), leaving her with $50, which she hoped to spend in New York City. She simply went home with the bits of change she had. Was her life supposed to have ended up like that or was it all her fault and bad planning? Did an external force have control over her operations? Ray didn’t retrieve his files. He had to start from scratch again, and all his hard work went to waste. Was it really his time to publish, or was he supposed to be doing something else in his life. Or was he being protected from a bad outcome or an unfortunate event?

The feeling of life being predictable and unpredictable makes us question our reality and process of living. Do we live for a greater force or are we supposed to live and not plan? We can plan so much, but it takes something so little to destroy our own created forces that give us power and control. The essence of living is far from being known to man or woman, but if we did know, would we plan so much, or just live in the very second and not care about sudden change?

The ability to plan and change gives us the power to gain wealth (financial and non-financial) and live with security, but the security we have is nothing if a greater force controls every action man or woman does.

LIFE = SOLVING PROBLEMS

In Self Help on April 15, 2012 at 8:01 pm

Isn’t life about solving problems. I always question my existence and wonder why I am living and breathing. Why do I have to suffer with years and years of education. Why do I have to go to the shop for my mum, nearly every day? Why do I not like certain people? What is my talent? I keep on questioning why I am living and why I do certain things in life, all the time. Then life hits me hard, and I realised why I live. I realised why humans live, and I also realise why humans communicate with each other and why we begin to truly love the people we are close or attached to.

Life is all about SOLVING PROBLEMS.

That is why we live, suffer, face challenges, and feel satisfied at certain times in our life. If life wasn’t about challenges, feeling satisfied and solving problems, our lives would be be pretty pointless and boring. In my previous post, I talked about music and it’s affect on our behaviour. Well music plays and important role of storytelling and spreading ideas and beliefs. That also shows us that people want to express themselves through something they are passionate about. It may be done to make money (satisfaction), may be done to change something (challenge), or may be done as a way of truly expressing ones understanding of world (problem).

Whatever life throws at us, we should take it, analyse it and respond to it appropriately. We should enjoy what we experience, develop on our ideas and creativity, learn from our mistakes and solve the problems that we face in our daily lives.

That is truly living.

The Lovely Therapy Called Music

In Hip Hop on April 15, 2012 at 1:01 am

I have recently become addicted to music. I am lying on the internet. That is bad. I have been addicted to Hip Hop for quite while. It seems like music gives me therapy and a sense of peace. On a typical morning, I will start my day by playing something old school like The Blueprint – Jay Z. Something like this to get me in the mood for my day, regardless of the fact that Jay-Z ‘disses’ my favourite rapper Nas.

So, I realise that a lot of the music I listen to is absolute trash, but the production and flow takes me on a journey that educates me. Yeah, I get educated by rubbish, just like everyone else on this planet. So I switch it up to something raw, and intellectually challenging.

Afternoon comes, and I have been listening to a selection of albums from Nas, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Common. I take a breather, and release some energy with Dubstep, which also includes rap.

I can’t exactly be living my life, listening to deep and meaningful music all the time. Sometimes I want to let loose and just listen to rubbish like the rest of society. I then realise that I am in full control of what I listen to on the internet, radio, television and any other devices that transmit some sort of rhythm and flow. Knowing that I am in control, I feel like I can continue listening to it and still understand the underlying truth beyond music and the power of the industry and its ability to manipulate people’s ideas.

I still find it relaxing, but I still gotta say music is deep. Isn’t it?
